He completed his MBBS from Rajah Muthiah Medical College, Chidambaram, followed by MD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy from Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). He further enhanced his expertise with a Fellowship in Dermatosurgery from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore.

Our Doctor
Dr. A. Ganapathy, MD (General Medicine), is a Senior Consultant Physician and Former Professor of Medicine at Thanjavur Medical College with over five decades of experience in the medical field. He completed his MBBS from Thanjavur Medical College in 1971 and obtained his MD in General Medicine from the same institution in 1980. Dr. Ganapathy began his medical career as an Assistant Surgeon at the Primary Health Centre, Ponbethi, Thanjavur District (1971–1973), and later served at the Primary Health Centre, Sangethi Edaiyar (Feb 1973 – Sep 1973). He then joined Raja Mirasdar Hospital (RMH), Thanjavur Medical College, as an Assistant Professor (1973–1977), followed by his tenure as Assistant Professor in Medicine at Thanjavur Medical College from 1980 to 1998.
He went on to serve as Professor and Head of the Department of General Medicine at Trichy Medical College and Hospital from 1998 to 2000, and later as Professor of Medicine at Thanjavur Medical College from 2000 to 2003. With his vast teaching and clinical experience, Dr. Ganapathy continues to provide expert medical care, specializing in comprehensive diagnosis, internal medicine, and holistic patient management, earning the trust and respect of patients and peers alike.
